Frequently Asked Questions
Hair sticks are hair accessories, generally made of plastic, wood, bone, or metal, used to create an endless array of hair styles.
It is very easy to use hair sticks and with very little practice you will soon be creating many beautiful hairstyles. Click here for easy instructions. Once you've mastered the basics, you're only limited by your imagination!
Yes! It doesn't matter how thick or thin your hair is, if you can put it into a ponytail, you can easily use hair sticks. If your hair is a bit past shoulder length or longer you can make use of them both as beautiful hair jewelry and as hair accessories to hold a wide array of hair styles. Don't worry if your hair is extremely long or thick, my hair sticks are handcrafted from solid stainless steel and don't break. Thick or very long hair may require a slightly longer stick, approximately 6"-7" long.
Hair sticks are among the safest hair accessories you can possibly use! Unlike metal barrettes, hard plastic hair claws with metal springs, and worst of all rubber bands or hair ties with sharp metal connectors, high-quality hair sticks have smooth finishes and are easily inserted and removed from the hair without pulling or causing breakage.
All of my designs are created with only the finest and most beautiful components available. Swarovski crystal, lamp-worked beads, David Christensen furnace glass beads, genuine gemstones and precious metals are among my favorite materials with which to work. My hair sticks are stainless steel or bone, handcrafted in my studio in a large variety of beautiful styles.
Yes. I make each piece personally. Even when I'm at a show or convention, I make many pieces with custom colors or sizing, right there, on the spot.
